A DANISH LIFE.A BRITISH COMMANDO.AN INTERNATIONAL STORY.

01 / THE FILM

One man. One war.
One final choice.

A rebellious Danish sailor becomes an exceptional British commando. But the war that gives his life purpose forces him to discover that true courage means protecting the men who follow him.

From the woods of South Zealand to Britain’s secret war, a covert maritime seizure off West Africa and the occupied Greek islands, Anders Lassen finds a world that values the very instincts that once made him an outsider.

Success tempts him to trust audacity above all else. The loss of his mentor, the loyalty of his men and the civilians left behind after each raid teach him the cost of that belief. With peace almost in sight, the story contracts to a narrow Italian road, eighteen men and an irreversible decision.

An intimate character drama with the operational suspense of a commando thriller.

DENMARK → BRITAIN → WEST AFRICA

A world that finally needs him.

A boy who reads the woods better than the classroom becomes a sailor, then a volunteer in Britain’s clandestine war. Under Gus March-Phillipps, he discovers the power of preparation and teamwork. Operation Postmaster proves that the impossible can be done—and makes daring dangerously easy to believe in.

02 / THE MAN

Extraordinary gifts.
Dangerous flaws.

He can read a hostile shoreline.
Learning to read the men beside him is harder.

Lassen’s instinct, physical courage and impatience with convention make him formidable. They also make him difficult to contain. The film follows the uneasy transformation from a man who tests himself against danger to a commander who must account for every life he risks.

THE GIFT
Observation, initiative and a hunter’s understanding of landscape.
THE FLAW
A confidence in his own instincts that can outrun his responsibility.
THE CHANGE
From being the first into danger to understanding what it means to lead.
The people who shape him

Suzanne, his mother. Home and affection remain an emotional counterweight to the war. The treatment’s private family scenes are dramatic reconstructions.

Gus March-Phillipps, his mentor. An unconventional commander gives Lassen’s talent a direction. His death forces Lassen to confront the limits of daring.

The men and the islanders. Comrades with imagined futures, and Greek civilians who cannot leave when the raiders do, enlarge his understanding of responsibility. Some supporting figures are proposed composites.

THE HISTORICAL EVENT

Born at Høvdingsgaard in South Zealand, Anders Lassen grows up with a love of hunting and the outdoors.

IN THE FILM · DRAMATIC INTERPRETATION

The woods establish a gift for observation and a tension with convention. A recurring sound carries the audience from the final patrol back to childhood; this is a cinematic motif, not a documented memory.

The film begins with open horizons.
It ends with almost nowhere to move.

MOSS / EARTH / LATE SUN

The landscape teaches him to listen.

Danish woods and open fields carry both freedom and expectation. The camera discovers Anders through what he notices: a shift in the wind, a disturbed bird, a movement no one else sees.

SOUND Leaves, breath and the sudden lift of wings.

01

Geography creates tension.

A rope, a tide, a blind approach. The audience understands the practical problem before the action breaks.

02

Action changes a relationship.

Each mission tests judgment, trust or responsibility. Spectacle follows the human stakes.

03

The world keeps its texture.

Water, weather, worn equipment and silence keep the film tactile, with visual effects serving the period world.
